Is your desktop a mess????

22 September 2007 22 comments

I have been tagged by bluepanjeet™ OTWOMD™ to take a screen shot of my computer...haha easier said than done.....the tab on my keyboard didn't want to work...so I ended up taking a photo...
any way here is a photo of my computer screen ...

ah ha my daughter helped me get a real screen shot !!!!
it has been like this for about 12 months....I took this photo of my children about 4 years ago.....they don't stay children for long though......
I am leaving this tag open to anyone who is interested.....it would be interesting to see your screen shots....and is your desktop tidy or not?

TAG STARTS HERE

My Desktop Free View Instruction:

A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. You can do a screen capture by:

[1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).

[2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V).

[3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.

B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of Icons, things like that.

C. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.

D. Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.

Your handsome son is called Alexander, known as Alex - my eldest son is also called Alexander because I wanted him to be known as Alex (as I like it) but his friends call him Al (which I don't!). I think it must be because our surname is Aldred. They used to call him Talldred as he was 6' 4" tall in his early teens!

Your beautiful daughter is called Charlotte but no further coincidences to report, my other offspring is a son called Ben!

  • Kim 22.9.07

ah ha .....my Alexander likes to be called Alex ...I try to call him Alexander.....but I write his name as Al.....
Tallred !!!!! that's original and so funny.....haha the names they come up with.... :D
my Alex is 6'6" at 17...
did your Alex grow any taller....as I'm wondering about my Alex's height...
Charlotte was going to be a Charles as I was convinced that she was a boy.....
Benjamin was one of my favourites as well as Harriet.....:)

  • Diane 22.9.07

No, he shot up in his early teens but seemed to stop growing after that - he is still 6' 4" tall at 24. (I was a child bride....!)

I am going to LA on the 28th so I hope I can complete your competition while I am away! Still, I now know lots about you so that's a bonus :-)

PS Blogger is not letting me post this as far as I can tell but if it is appearing many times I can only apologise!

Just realised it will let me post if I use my Bogger display name...oh well.

  • Kim 22.9.07

haha Diane....I was just posting about the competition on your blog.....I will post the last 4 questions on the 26th so you will still be in the running ...it would be a shame if you missed out.....
child bride ...hah...that means you could become a young grandma !!!

  • Anonymous 22.9.07

    Don't even think about that!

One of my younger son's friends got engaged recently (at 21) and asked Ben to be his best man. Ben said to me secretly that he thought his friend was far too young to be settling down and getting married and I was agreeing with him until I realised that I got married when I was 21 and promptly shut up fast!

  • Kim 22.9.07

    LOL....
so it's do as I say rather than do as I do....
    I know I'm a believer in that philosophy too...haha
I think it's a case of every other generation doing the opposite to the last one......
but I do think marrying young has it's advantages.....I think it's very romantic......

Hi I approve of your choice of Alexander for your son's name as it the name of my second son. Known as Alex mostly but often Al at school. Charlotte/Charlie is a lovely name too. Your desktop picture is amazing.

  • Kim 23.9.07

    thanks Barrett...
it's been one of those weeks for me too......
the tag is fun.....and iRonnie is showing all of the desktops together on his blog......the link is in my favourite posts category....

oh I'm sure your desktop is great Renny...
I will be looking out for it
....a great weekend to you too :)

    thanks Sue
lucky Charlotte helped me out with the screenshot and also surprised me with the nav bars.....
seems like Alexander is THE NAME ..haha....
funny how one name can have so many different versions.....
and Charlotte.... has a perfume named after her...Charlie......so that's right down her alley :D
    have a great evening..... :)

  • Anonymous 24.9.07

Well you know that I know that you know I know your kids are Charlotte and Alexander :-)

One of my favorite paintings of yours is of your kids for Tomato groove :-)

My screen shot is nothing worth even commenting on. I haven't taken the time to even select or add anything since I got the new one after my last puter crashed and burned a few months ago, haha.

  • Kim 24.9.07

    haha Deborah
I do know that you know....
perhaps your screen shot could be classed as the new minimalist look....
that's what I am working towards with my blogs and website.....
and it is soooo hard eliminating some things......

My desktop is so messy, that if I would post it, then whole server would break down, deleting all the post. I wouldn't do that!
